Other: Resident reviews for the Mark condos are expected in 2011. Has its own private gated street that passes directly in front of the building and is used only for passenger pick up and drop offs. Access to this street is only via approval from security.

Ceiling heights are 9 feet on floors 2-19 and 10 feet on floors 20-30. Floor 31 is only 9 feet. Two story penthouse above that. Each unit has its own individual storage area. Out of the 427 parking spaces, only 9 are tandem.

Units facing these directions will probably see:
West: In 2009 the West view was a great view, when looking slightly off center to either the SW or NW. You can see the bay and have a great skyline city lights view at night. Directly across the street from The Mark condos is a vacant parking lot taking up the entire block. This was to be a high rise mixed use building about 40 stories tall until it was discovered that the government official approving the project might have received some kick backs from the developers, which resulted in the city throwing out the entire project. As of 2009 there are no plans approved for this lot. I expect a high rise of some sort to be built there one day. The direct west view right now looks into the Alta condos on the next block over. So a new tower will probably be in the same line of sight as the Alta condos, so nothing really lost. Its the view to the SW that’s the concern as to how far South the new building will go in the lot. Its my understanding that the little brown building in the SW corner of the lot across the street is a historic building and it was to remain under the construction plan that was halted. So the new tower may not extend too far South in the lot.
North: The North view appears to be a very safe view based on what developments the city has planned so far. Again the higher the floor in The Mark, the safer the view. Its a great skyline view and you can see all the way to Balboa Park. A big bonus of the North facing units is being able to watch the airplanes fly in from miles out as the approach the airport downtown.
East: The East view looks into two new towers, an apartment building and a hotel. The apartment building on the North portion of the block is 18 stories tall, the hotel about 12 stories.
South: This South view from The Mark condos is perhaps one of the most sought after views in San Diego. If you on the higher floors, like 20 & up you have great views right into the playing field at Petco Park. Units from about the 15th floor and up have panoramic views of the bay, Coronado bridge, all the way to the night lights in Mexico. Directly across the street from The Mark is Parkloft, an 11 story building. Its far enough away that lower floors feel very private. The lower floors also have a great view of the courtyard area with its lap pool and "Park at The Mark" a rare grass yard in the center of the courtyard, not for pets, for picnicking, botchy ball (check out from concierge), etc.
Note: These views may change in the future or if you are on a very low floor may not have any view. Each buyer should verify on their own. Above statements are only one man’s opinion and are not guaranteed to be accurate and are not to be used as part of a real estate contract.
